According to Ancient Greek mythology, it is said that Aphrodite, the goddess of love, created oregano as a symbol of joy. The ancient Greeks cherished the herb for its vast range of medicinal, superstitious and of course culinary attributes — and Greeks still use oregano today for many of the same benefits. A typical Greek salad, or "horiatiki," is always served with a generous portion of local oregano, as are many everyday Greek dishes like gyros, kebab and fish dishes. 
Grown in the pristine mountain air of Mount Olympus, picked by hand at the peak of its potency, our oregano leaves are carefully dried to preserve their vibrant color, intense aroma and exceptional flavor.
